Washington, DC - The Washington Animal Rescue League need your help. Please read the letter below from Mary Jarvis, Chief Operating Officer & Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Dear Friends of the League,
Like every animal shelter in America at this time of year, we are receiving a significant influx of cats and kittens as homeless feline mothers give birth to homeless litters. It is a heartbreaking situation and it is lucky for the mother cats and their babies that shelters are able to provide refuge, medical treatment and new homes with loving families.
Did you know that our average cost for caring for one kitten for six weeks is $190 and the average cost for caring for four kittens for six weeks is $760?
Below is a short list of just some of the many basic supplies we need to continue caring for these helpless creatures:
Kitten Formula
Heating pads
Feeding supplies (bottle, nipples, syringe)
The demands and costs are high. But we aim to assist and save as many cats and kittens as we can.
Won't you help us save feline moms and their babies?
Please consider a gift of today to help our medical center care for these animals and our adoptions team find them forever homes.
We need your help urgently. We want to save as many lives as we can, but the number we can help depends on the generous donations we receive from animal lovers like you.
Please make a contribution today and thank you very much for helping our mama cats and their kids, who need so much help to have a second chance.
Sincerely,
Mary Jarvis
Chief Operating Officer & Interim Chief Executive Officer
